The Tigris has so many uses for the locals:
Swimming
Washing clothes
Washing their cars & trucks
Dumping garbage & other assorted types of waste
The livestock also enjoy cooling off with a swim (usually they are together with the kids, but not today when I took the picture)
A few camels sometimes join the fun down by the river
Irrigating their crops
It's family fun for all!
But heck, if that's the only way I could cool off here, I'd probably jump in also!
